Andre Garon Rico

Financial Data Engineer & FP&A Systems Architect
Anaplan Certified · SAP BW/BPC · Python · AI forecasting
Charlottesville, VA · LinkedIn · GitHub · 📄 Résumé (PDF)

I build the systems finance runs on. At Klabin, one of Brazil’s largest pulp-and-paper companies, I spent a decade building the SAP data warehouse and then the FP&A area on top of it, cutting the close and reporting cycle from about 4 days to less than 1. Since then I’ve built large-scale data platforms and machine-learning pipelines for genomic research at Penn State and the University of Pennsylvania, and 12true, a household finance platform built on a double-entry ledger.

What I bring

  • Finance from the inside: budgeting, consolidation, CAPEX, intercompany and management reporting. Registered accountant in Brazil (CRC-SP).
  • Engineering at scale: enterprise data warehouses, pipelines over billions of genetic variants, and full-stack platforms with more than 1,700 automated tests.
  • AI applied to decisions: forecasting, machine-learning models and LLM assistants that work on real, governed data.
